Saturday was spent shooting pictures for the David Yeo Hockey Tournament at the Dee Stadium in Houghton, MI. The photos will all be on-line shortly. It was a cold but fun day.

Lake Linden-Hubbell vs. Hurley

It was like Friday Night Lights on a Saturday afternoon. Gabby and I went to her first High School Football game to see her cousin's friend Vinnie (#82) in these pictures play. The day started with a tailgate party and it was really hot. Lake Linden-Hubbell won the game.

Baseball Opening Ceremonies

Opening Ceremonies for this years Portage Lake Little League season was cold and snowy. Most kids, coaches, and parents stuck it out even though we were all freezing. After all we're yoopers and we're used to it.

CCJHA Mite Champions

Brad's hockey team won the Mite Championship 4-3 in an exciting sudden death overtime game.

Brad scored all four goals.

Pigs-n-Heat at the SDC

This is the first time we've attended the event and it certainly was fun. The organizers did a great job. Chuck a Puck was especially fun to watch. McGruff the Crime Dog was also in attendance and posed for a few pictures.

Michael, Michael, Motorcycle

Uncle Michael (my brother) took his niece (my daughter) and my nephew (Brad) for rides on his motorcycle Friday night. Both kids were just so excited to go for a ride. Michael definitely has the look, don't you think?

Carl Olson Memorial Adventure Run

Saturday morning, I received a phone call about 8:00 am from Todd of Brassard Media fame saying he was going to the Carl Olson run and asked if I wanted to shoot some pictures. Well I was up, my daughter was up, the event started about a mile from my house, so Gabby and I packed up and went.

The event was fun and very well-organized. I thought my daughter would be a little bored, but she was very excited. One of her kindergarten classmates was even in the kid's race. I must say the kid's race was really neat to watch.

Incidentally, the run is in memory of a guy who is from the same small town of Painesdale as me. He grew up about two blocks from my childhood home so just seeing his name brought back some childhood memories as well.

Daytona Cubs Game in Daytona Beach

These pictures are from a Daytona Cubs Minor League Baseball game we attended while in Florida. The Cubs are a farm team for the Chicago Cubs.

It was really a lot of fun in an informal setting.
